This day-long training will explore sexual respect and health, permutations of sexuality and LGBTQ+ dynamics as features of assessing and creating interventions in a clinical setting to address intimate partner sexual violence. Participants will leave with an enhanced strengths-based approach to interventions for perpetrators of domestic and sexual violence through the lens of respectful and healthy behavior.

Presenter Bio: Christopher Hall is a social worker and Ph.D. student in Educational Research Methodologies at the University of North Carolina: Greensboro. He has worked in the field of domestic and sexual violence intervention since 1997, including work at Emerge: Counseling and Education to Stop Domestic Violence (Cambridge, MA), the West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence (Charleston, WV), and The Retreat (Long Island, NY). His research interests are in quantifying oppression theory through qualitative interviewing techniques with intimate partner violence perpetrators, and use of the transtheoretical model and motivational interviewing in domestic violence intervention.
